For OpenCart, there is an official KeyCRM connector and advanced third-party modules. They are not interchangeable: a free solution covers basic order flow well, and a paid solution only makes sense when a wider two-way exchange is really needed and costs less than manual work.
Short answer
Choose an official module, if you only need to receive new OpenCart orders in KeyCRM and you are willing to keep catalog and balances separately.
Choose advanced integration, if KeyCRM needs to manage products, categories, customers, prices, balances or statuses in both directions and the process needs to work via CRON and webhook without manual files.
What the official KeyCRM connector does
Actual official instructions describes the OpenCart/ocStore connection for instant receipt of orders after checkout. Order data, selected delivery and payment methods are transferred to CRM; you can also export existing orders. This is a logical starting point for most small shops.
At the same time, the keyCRM knowledge base clarifies: the regular module now supports the transfer of orders, and update balances on the site implemented by a separate script through the API. Similarly, custom fields, atypical forms, UTM or specific shipping data may require refinement.
The advantage of the official solution is the zero price of the module and sufficient functionality for a simple scenario. The disadvantage is only apparent when the business expects from him full management of the catalog, which is not present in the basic integration.
What the comprehensive integration of Build Zone adds
Comprehensive KeyCRM module for OpenCart v1.3.2 is designed for two-way exchange:
- import and export of goods, categories and customers;
- prices, balances, manufacturers, bonus points, variants and options;
- creation of new products and linking of existing ones without duplicates;
- automatic transmission and import of orders;
- two-way synchronization of statuses and history saving;
- mapping of statuses, payments and deliveries;
- automation of tags in KeyCRM;
- CRON, webhooks, and manually running operations;
- verifying and maintaining relationships between entities.
Additionally, the module can use the Google Cloud Translation API to translate products and categories in a multilingual store. This is a separate external service, so its access and tariff are not automatically included in the price of the module license.

Three typical choice scenarios
A small store, one sales channel
Managers work in KeyCRM, but products and balances are kept only in OpenCart. You need to receive new orders automatically. Start with the official connector - the advanced module may not pay off here.
Several channels and a common composition
Orders come from the website, Instagram and marketplaces; KeyCRM stores a single balance. The site must receive up-to-date availability, and each option has its own SKU. Needed synchronization of KeyCRM balances with OpenCart via API is an argument in favor of an extended solution.
Large catalog and double-sided editing
Categories, products, prices and customers are created in different systems, there are several languages, scheduled imports and a log are required. Here, CRON, linking without duplicates, API limits and test run with packages are important. The extended module reduces the scope of individual development, but requires careful configuration.
Compatibility, dependencies and license
The current version of Build Zone module 1.3.2 supports OpenCart 3.0 and ocStore 3.0. OpenCart.Pro and ocShop are marked as incompatible in the extension card. The license is issued for one domain. The code doesn't need an ionCube, doesn't make requests to the developer server to run, and doesn't depend on the storefront template.
The free adaptation indicated in the module card does not mean the automatic development of any new business process. The scope of installation, transfer of custom fields and non-standard modifiers should be agreed before purchase.
Checklist before the decision
- Write down all the entities to be exchanged and the direction of each.
- Define the source of truth for products, prices, balances and statuses.
- Check OpenCart/ocStore, PHP and custom checkout page.
- Calculate the time of manual duplication per month.
- Check the SKU of each product and variant.
- Specify whether UTM, payment status, shipping office or custom fields are required.
- Test one order and a small group of products before mass launch.
