Monitor job age
Track not only the number of tasks, but also the age of the oldest, processing speed and errors. Determine the allowable delay for each queue: Message to manager and nightly import may have different requirements. Check who gets the notification and what they should do.

Align timeouts
Worker runtime, external API timeout, and task re-availability settings must be consistent. Otherwise, a long-running task may restart while the first one is still running. Specific parameters depend on the queue driver and Laravel version; select them by measured time, not random values.

Retry only after diagnosis
For a failed job, check the reason and possible actions that have already been performed. Fix the data or dependency, check for idempotence, then repeat one task and check the result. After deploying the code, make sure that the long-running workers have loaded the new code and are automatically restarting when stopped.

Is it possible to simply repeat all failed jobs?
It is risky for payments, messages and creating requests. First, error classification and duplicate-prevention tests are required.
